Over the three days, more than 40 world political leaders and over 1000 business leaders, academics and representatives of the main international organizations are expected to participate.
Circle participates in the appointment as DG MOVE Consultant through the speech of Alexio Picco – Chief Consultant for the Coordinator for Motorways of the Sea and Managing Director of Circle – scheduled at 4.30 p.m. in Room Sforza D, within the panel “Sustainability and Climate Change: the New Driver of Cooperation in the Mediterranean”.
The aim of the MED Dialogues is to contribute to facing the challenges and opportunities posed by the “enlarged” Mediterranean, by focusing on the great opportunities that a positive agenda on development can offer. Among the strategic issues at the heart of the debate are: the main regional crises (with a focus on Libya and Syria); the challenges posed by the ongoing transition processes; the geopolitical competition between the various regional actors; terrorism and the fate of ISIS; the management of migration flows; the geopolitical impact of climate change; the new energy scenarios; and the role of investments and technological innovation in the region.
